Silke
When Silke was approximately three years old, she had photos of the Beatles hanging above her bed rather than posters of kittens or ponies like her friends.
She spent some time extensively touring with local punk bands in the 90s at a time when she was actually supposed to go to school.
If there was a concert in a radius of about 1000km from her hometown Hennef in Germany that sounded remotely interesting, she'd be there, camera in her hand, taking photos like a crazy person.
Some time of study later, she had super fancy music journalism adventures that she likes to talk about when playing a song of one of those bands, worked on big events and helped her university's local campus radio station to get it's frequency, which she'd then dorkily abuse to play as much NZ music as possible.
Silke still mourns Elliott Smith, wants to marry The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, the Ramones make her want to hop around, she'll play Goodshirt until they agree to get back together, and if she can find a cool song in a language other than English, it'll make her day.
She's also always worried that she'll accidentally leave the microphone on, because she just can't help but compulsively sing along to a nice song.
Silke will be joined in the studio by the ever so lovely Jess Walker, music fan and event management student extraordinaire.
There now is an email address to which you can send emails with your own songs (as at least 160bit mp3, no bigger than 5mb, please) or to just get in touch, should you feel like it at all.

We'll reply those emails from home only, so during the show, the email address remains studio@95bfm.com and you can still send texts to 021-312 006
