MP3 Seeded Ep 9: Neil Ieremia

MP3, 32m44s, 30MB, first broadcast 26 June 2010

If Neil Ieremia had listened to the advice of others, he would now be a banker. Instead, he ran off to the Performing Arts School to pursue a passion for dance, which lead him to establish the internationally-recognised Black Grace dance troupe in 1995.
A confounder of expectations, Neil’s music taste is entirely removed from preconceived notions about what a dancer will be afftected by. On Seeded, he explains the importance of Paul Weller; his very late appreciation for reggae; how songs by The Eagles resonate in the Polynesian community; and how these various stylistic influences have soundtracked his life.
