The self-described “country punk blues monstrosity” is back for one kickass night of good ol’ fashion rock ‘n’ roll. Over the past eighteen months the Ball has grown from a small country and blues show into a tobacco-chewing, moonshine-swilling extravaganza – with the past three events selling out.
Christchurch band The Unfaithful Ways will be headlining the festival for the first time. With a tale of triumph following the earthquakes last year, this band is set to bring country music back to the masses.
Joining the line-up are Wellington alt-country, bluegrass band D. Burmester and the Blind, Gina’s Revenge, the Auckland-based outlaw/gothic/bluegrass/rock ‘n’ roll band The Broadsides and Bernie Griffen & The Grifters.
Rounding out the night is DJ Tina Turntables spinning some beats and special guest host, funny man Jeremy Elwood.
So saddle up and get on down to this fantastic event for a night of grassroot brilliance.
