Part of an extensive worldwide tour in which he will make appearances at Coachella and Hong Kong's Sonar festival, legendary West Coast producer DJ Shadow (Josh Davis) returns to New Zealand to tour his latest release.
The album, The Mountain Will Fall, released in June last year, sees the groundbreaking producer and DJ exploring new realms of composition and sound. Five years since his last release, the album debuted at #1 on iTunes’ electronic chart in 16 countries and became Shadow’s first #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic chart in the US.
‘The Mountain Will Fall’ features appearances by Run The Jewels with the hit "Nobody Speak", Nils Frahm "Bergschrund" and others. 2016 was a big year for the producer, as it also marked the 20th anniversary of his classic debut Endtroducing... with a deluxe reissue featuring remixes from Clams Casino, Hudson Mohawke, and more. Since then, he has carved out a reputation for atmospheric, sample-driven instrumental hip-hop with tracks such as Lost and Found and In/Flux.
